iPad digital tablet technology provides unlimited opportunities for student development and motivation. As teachers, we need to take full advantage of these tools in order to reach our students and improve their knowledge retention. We hope you enjoy this collection of new tips and tricks to help advance your skills and improve your overall efficiency with the iPad.

There’s a faster way than the backspace key. If you have a whole sentence or search query you want to erase, you don’t need to use the backspace key to delete your entry. Give your iPad a shake, then select Undo Typing.

The spacebar will create as many spaces as there are fingers on it. So, one finger will produce one space, two fingers will produce two spaces and so on.

If you have a favorite webpage you want home screen access to, you can easily create an icon for it. Go to the webpage and tap the arrow icon to the left of the address bar. Next, choose the option Add to Home Screen. You can also rename the icon if you like.

To delete an email without opening it, swipe across the preview. A red DELETE button will appear. Tap the button and the message will be deleted.

If you don’t like the option AutoCorrect gives you, you can reject it. Simply finish the word as you prefer, then tap the suggestion. The text will stay as you entered it. If you want to use AutoCorrect’s choice, just type a space or punctuation mark, or tap Return the moment the AutoCorrect recommendation pops up.
