As the end of the school year approaches, it is natural for both teachers and students to want to ease up on the rigor of teaching and learning. In his article, Finishing the School Year Strong, Larry Ferlazzo argues that it is “important for the future of our students that we actually ‘step-up’ the quality and intensity of what is happening in our classrooms during that time period.”  He offers practical suggestions for helping both students and teachers to “stay energized” to the very end.
