Erin Schiavone

Erin T. Schiavone served as a Social Studies teacher for 13 years in upstate New York before transitioning to a career in technology integration. She currently works with both students and teachers as an Instructional Technology Specialist for GST BOCES. Her goal is to have teachers moving from the “traditional pen and paper” classroom into a “paperless” classroom where students are the catalyst for their own learning. She instructs teachers on how to prepare their students for the future, which means saturating students with the technology that they will be using to solve real world problems. Erin is especially focused on working with teachers to create modern interactive lessons utilizing Promethean Whiteboard technology and the ActivInspire program.
