Heather Pollack

Heather Pollack holds a Bachelors degree in English Literature and a Masters degree in Educational Administration. She began her career as a third and fourth grade private school teacher, later moving to a public school where she taught fifth grade for seven years. Heather has taught all types of learners–from gifted students to those with learning disabilities and second language acquisition needs. After serving as an instructional coordinator, Heather transitioned to her current position as an academic trainer with the Professional Development Department of HISD. For the past three years, she has worked directly with teachers by providing coaching and teacher-training. In addition to her district work, she also teaches at Houston Community College’s alternative certification program as an instructor of undergraduate studies in education.
