Dr. Eugene M. Sweeney is an award-winning educator and in-demand speaker who has served as a superintendent, assistant superintendent for learning services, high school principal, English teacher and instructor of Educational Leadership at the University of Notre Dame. He has presented sessions at state and national conferences, including those sponsored by the United States Department of Education, the National Council of Teachers of English, the University of Chicago and the Indiana Principal’s Association. He has received special recognition from the United States Department of Education for providing staff development in the area of effective implementation of technology applications in the classroom. Dr. Sweeney’s presentations, workshops and training sessions are instrumental in facilitating practical and systematic professional development. His specialties include standards-based alignment of curriculum and instruction, assessment development, differentiation strategies, response to intervention, technology applications in classroom instruction and writing across the curriculum.
