• Reflection – Educators need to be reflective learners. The JATO model incorporates opportunities through the year for school-wide, small group, and individual reflection on the learning process.

• Audit – The JATO process begins with a climate and technology audit. Prior to implementation, test data and student work are analyzed. An A+ Educators consultant visits classrooms, talks to students and teachers and compares data points.

• Guidance – Existing print and technology resources are categorized and aligned to individual student need. The comprehensive report provides a roadmap for teacher support and individualized instruction.

• Resources – Web and print-based resources, ongoing progress monitoring and scaffolded lessons for guided and independent practice are integrated into each learner prescription.

• Support – Support is provided through the NOW Channel and includes tutoring for students who need additional help, technical and curricular support for the teacher, and assistance for parents who have web access at home.
