The Journeys Series brings engaging projects into the classroom. Integrating art, core content areas, dynamic teacher presentations and the read/write web, the monthly field trips are a fresh, authentic way to involve your class in interactions around the world.

The 2009-2010 school year features Gardens of the World. Each month participating classrooms begin a tour of the grounds emphasizing social studies concepts, grade appropriate whiteboard lessons in art, math and science, and Web 2.0 projects focusing on meaningful collaboration with the people who make the gardens the amazing places they are. All resources are archived so the class can revisit any destination when they choose.

Throughout the month classrooms create their entries for the culminating competition. Winning classrooms receive relevant prizes, such as garden-produced seeds, miniature rock gardens, art project supplies and one-on-one interactions.
